Hailing from Australia, John Butler Trio is a roots and jam band who take their audience on a musical journey.
It has been nearly four years since their last album – April Uprising – and in that time they have toured the world, creating new fans along the way. Additionally, the band spends a lot of time fighting environmental causes in their native Australia.
Their latest (and sixth) album Flesh & Blood is uplifting and joyful, utilising the bass, drums and percussion. The band is enthusiastic and their shows are always filled with optimism, showing their fans a great time. The Vicar St. venue is an ideal location for the show and will put everyone in a dancing mood and singing along.
The band has recently welcomes new drummer, percussionist and vocalist Grant Gerathy who brings a healthy sound into the mix; riffing with the rest of the band and spicing up the older songs.
For more information on the band, the venue, and to buy tickets, visit the Vicar St. website here. Be sure to get in quick as the first date, April 25th has already sold out.
