The Jameson Dublin Film Festival (JDIFF) is Ireland’s largest annual film festival which takes place in Dublin’s city centre every February for the duration of 11 days. It is dedicated to presenting and supporting the very best in Irish and international film.
With a vast array of feature films, public interviews, industry workshops and master classes, it is the ideal place to discover and interact with film lovers.
Last year, the line-up included a special focus on Scandinavian Cinema, workshops with Margery Simkin and Tobias Lindholm as well as a special concert of the film music of Dario Marianelli.
In addition, every year the festival also presents the Volta Awards for Career Achievement to key international figures in the film industry. In 2013, the award was won by Tim Roth, Costa-Gavras, Danny DeVito & Joss Whedon.
This year, the event boasts 135 screenings, kicking off with International Shorts 1 at Light House Cinema the 13th of February at 3:00pm.
