The Dublin Writers Festival is in its 16th year of being Ireland’s premier literary event which showcases the work of some of the finest writers in the world and the writers themselves who come together for debate, discuss and delight the most thought-provoking topics of the day.
Join the festival for one event or all of them; choose from readings, workshops and performances from poets, screenwriters, lyricists and fiction and non-fiction writers. Events include a seminar on the business of being a writer, the lost poetry squad which involves searching for hidden poetry, after dark in St Patrick’s Park and a reimagining of Jane Austen.
There’s also something for children including a celebration of the Gruffalo’s 15th birthday, a workshop with Pip Jones with children and their imaginary pets and the Book Clinic to inspire kids to read varied books more often.
