We can always do more for charity and if you feel like helping out on St. Patrick’s Day this year then look no further than the Harbour2Harbour charity walk hosted by Aware.
Now in its 10th year, the Harbour2Harbour walk is a fun and worthwhile event to take part in. Starting at 10:30 in the morning, participants walk from Dun Laoghaire to Howth or Howth to Dun Laoghaire. The walk is 16 miles or 21 kilometres, the halfway point (with toilets and refreshments) is at Dublin Port (opposite the 3Arena).
Those starting at Dun Laoghaire set off from the Harbour Plaza behind Dun Laoghaire Dart Station and those starting at Howth set off from the Bloody Stream Pub. And everyone taking part will reap the benefits of getting out the house and doing some physical exercise, which is an important factor for mental health and wellbeing.
Over 850 people took part in last years Harbour2Harbour walk to support Aware’s work. As ever, during the walk members of Aware will be there to cheer you on and provide food and refreshments along the way.
